Last day of 3rd grade

Image
Well, yesterday was it.  The LAST day of 3rd grade.  Some of my favorite teachers are leaving, some friends too. I was so proud of all Tristan accomplished in 3rd grade.  First I saw this in his bag of stuff he brought home... His school has set his heart on the right path!! Then I giggled when I saw this - someone is excited about going to the lake I think!! I made him take the obligatory end of school picture... and it actually turned out cute! And then it was Chapel time where the crying began... for me, not him. He's so big.  And so happy. And I'm so proud. Thank you Grace Academy for all you have done for my boy.  Looking forward to Mrs. Patterson and 4th grade but for now... let's enjoy the summer!!!

CUBS win and secure First place... and I just realized T's 3 for 3 this season!!

WE WIN - WE WIN EVERYTHING!! Great coaching, great kids!!! NOW, onto KID PITCH!  That changes everything!!! I've always wanted sports to be fun for Tristan.  He's competitive but not THAT competitive yet.  But he does want to win.  It was always about playing with friends... and still is - but he's starting to get that itch to win. We'll see what fall holds - for now, he's in camps and no sports this summer.  Bums me out but maybe we'll just enjoy the pool!! Then I realized, all THREE of his spring teams came in first place!! That's what happens when you have great coaches and great kids!!! So thankful for the coaches letting us play and so proud of these boys!!! WAY TO GO CUBS, ANGELS AND COWBOYS!!

A few days of awesome...

It's been a VERY hard week. VERY. But yesterday, Tristan and the CUBS came back after being down 11-2 in the 3rd inning  to win 21 - 20. It was INSANE - and my boy had 7 RBI's!!  I keep score so it's hard to get pictures!! those are just the highlights!! Then today I had lunch with T.... and Mrs. Kennedy gives me this beautiful card and gift.  it was SO nice!! I needed this more than you know... and then tonight... the Grace Angels secured 1st placed.  Tristan was 4 for 4, played AMAZING in the field and was genuinely happy!!  8 and - feels awesome!!! Life has been hard... and sad... but these last two days made my heart soar. Thank you Lord... thank you.

Happy Mother's Day to me!!

Today T and I drove off to Fossil Rim.  I'm starting to think he loves it as much as I do. I just love listening to how kind and gentle he is with them... stinky breath! we even saw lots of babies today!! This kid was SO brave! but the parents weren't far away!! After we were headed to grab lunch only to find out Heather, Micah, Triston and Payton were coming to Fossil Rim - so we met up for lunch!! Tristan is in love with the twins and man alive - Micah is in love with T!! they headed into the park and we headed home... but not before grabbing a snow cone and a game of miniature golf Stinker had two holes in one and beat me by ONE POINT!  I really tried!! Ribbit and I got the sweetest gift from Holt and Tristan... Pretty AMAZING!  Pun intended!! God was good to me, my family and friends have been VERY good to me.   I don't know what is a...

T had his last tutoring session with Lindsey and she brought gifts... and Addelyn.  Oh how he loves her!! and she gave me and T a card that means SO much to us. we headed off to a baseball Thursday night... and this cutie got his first home run! he was pretty bummed he didn't get the game ball but he got an icee instead. We learned a great lesson about sports and friends.  Another boy (bottom of the order) that struggles also got a home run that won us the game 14-13.  I explained to T that while he played the best and deserved it... Ben NEEDED that for confidence. Tristan understood and I think was then happy for Ben. Then we had to miss Lauren's graduation weekend.  I told Connie about my new drama and that we needed time together when she gets back.  (Will blog about shortly).  She sent this... (I love you in sign language) and we sent this back... horrible attempt but we tried :) then T h...

Can't believe she's ONE already - Happy Birthday Baylor!!! she's injured so we couldn't take her to the dog park or running or anything she would have loved... praying her leg heals - can't really afford a $4k surgery!!! Then, Braeden came over and we headed to the company picnic! Awkward "family" photo... hahahahaha they spent most of their time in the bounce house... but there was some ping pong action as well... And when T got in line for the pinata... I warned them... that no other would most likely go after him... three swings and he sheered the head right off that thing! Lots of loot for all. The kiddos were pretty jazzed! Then, before the day was over we went out to watch my bosses all get hit in the face with pie.  $5 each throw and it all went to charity. I donated $20 (but I knew I couldn't hit them) and promptly gave those tickets away. Krueger... hilarious! Such...
