2018 ACSI Art Festival


Last Thursday, Tristan had an art fair.  Been a little busy so I'm just posting now...

T and a bunch of kiddos were entered in the art festival.  I was SO proud of him!!!


He got "EXCELLENT" and was very sad he didn't advance and have a chance to win a 1st, 2nd or 3rd prize ribbon.



Grace was called up to help with a special presentation... and he loved it


they were all so well behaved.  Before they went to sit down, I talked to him about how lucky he was to get chosen to go to the Festival AND he got an "EXCELLENT".  I also told him that this was the time for him to be humble, to cheer for his friends and celebrate any and every victory.

He was amazing. Hi-fived a bunch of people, was cheering... he was happy for his friends.

Days have passed and he still says he wished he had a chance at a ribbon...

I said "Bud, don't miss the moment - you ALREADY received one!!!  YOU ARE EXCELLENT and I'm one proud Mommy!!!'

Can't believe she's ONE already - Happy Birthday Baylor!!! she's injured so we couldn't take her to the dog park or running or anything she would have loved... praying her leg heals - can't really afford a $4k surgery!!! Then, Braeden came over and we headed to the company picnic! Awkward "family" photo... hahahahaha they spent most of their time in the bounce house... but there was some ping pong action as well... And when T got in line for the pinata... I warned them... that no other would most likely go after him... three swings and he sheered the head right off that thing! Lots of loot for all. The kiddos were pretty jazzed! Then, before the day was over we went out to watch my bosses all get hit in the face with pie.  $5 each throw and it all went to charity. Cowboys win again - T helps seal the deal!!

This is Tristan's second week playing flag.  He's LOVING it. I don't know enough about the game to even explain all he's been doing but he blocks the QB or whoever he passes the ball to and... he's been receiving some.  Holt would have to give more info. His coach has apologized for Tristan not "getting the ball more" but I'm not complaining, I'm just thankful he gets to play with Grayson again. See, TCA didn't have enough boys.  We signed up for the league and Tristan agreed to be put on "any team" - and what does God do... God puts us with Grayson and the TCA boys!!  We know many from church - and I was just SO thankful that his first experience was with G. Can you tell he's stoked? and I get to see this cutie every weekend - oh how I love you Tay!! I haven't really expected much of this team or this season. Tristan played flag years ago and doesn't know that much about the game.  Well he do...
