Oh what a weekend!
Friday night T and I just came home and crashed... I knew Sat would be busy.
But we relaxed, swam in the pool and played...
that night we headed to the Lot for dinner with the CUBS families.
It was SUCH a fun night just getting to hang out with each other. Some were missing, but it was a blast.
Braeden ended up spending the night - against my better judgment - because I knew Sunday was a bit day!
We had church... then dropped B. Then had to get Tiger. Then run errands and get T to warm-ups before his championship game.
My tone may give it away... we got killed.
HUGE bummer - some of the boys were crying - it broke my heart. T played decent but when I got on him a little he told me "I'm just too tired" and he NEVER says that. Ugh. Our best player struck out 3 times - and we they all had error after error. Just one of those games.
BUT, the coach was AMAZING and told them when body language (head up) matters. Told them it''s not just about winning. We were still in 1st place but didn't win the playoffs and that's ok. Hard for some to swallow. Mine wanted sleep.
None to be had though... Chris gave out trophies... we had pics...
Family picture and it was time to head to the after party.
They were SO gracious to me and truly made me feel a part of it all. I just loved them for that.
Of to Brookhaven we went!
At 8:30 we rushed home, showered and barely had enough energy to climb in bed. WHAT A WEEKEND it was. Very thankful for such a spring season with sports. It really was incredible.
Now, we're onto camps, camps and more camps!!!
