A week of AWESOME!!

 It's been a week... a great one for sure.

Every day Baylor and I get in some quality time, go on a walk, etc... but when it's time to get T up... she LOVES it.  This picture is creepy so I had to post it...


But here's what happened when I turned on the light.  Much cuter for sure!


Monday the Mays came over for a swim party. I didn't take one picture which bums me out but I guess I was too busy having fun!!

On Tuesday, we took Braeden for the day and the boys had a blast at the water park.  Joe Carter Pool was cheap and a blast. I was so thankful to hang with these two!!



Then - somehow they talked us into going to Addison to see fireworks.  The plan was to get on this roof and watch them. Once we got up there (Taylor and I) we decided against it.  First of all there is no ledge.. it was VERY dangerous.  Secondly that roof didn't feel overly secure. I know it was (ton of equipment up there) but it was a little freaky.  I finally said "heck no" when the massive sand storm blew in and we couldn't see a thing.  Soooo, we hopped back in the lift and went back down.


The kids were decked out...


and after seeing a few of them... we headed back for sparklers.



and Popsicles and the kids loved it.  That's all that matters!!


Then on the 4th, My birthday buddy Leslie invited us to the FC Dallas game.  We sat on the field with the players - it was INSANE!!

I love her so much....

even if we had to watch it close to the bathroom (LOL)



Those were some VERY late nights but I was thankful for fun things to do.

Another FUN & FREE event was this little hiking spot near Connie's house.



we hiked for 2 hours and just had such a great time together.

They are my family away from family...




and I absolutely loved being in nature.  

This place had spots that reminded me of Fillmore Glen in NY and it made my heart happy.


She really is a sister to me and an Aunt to him!!


And he loves her so!!


What a week, I'm exhausted but my love tank is quite full!!

You wanted this SO badly Tristan.  You are SO good at math... but it's been a very stressful time for our family.  You've handled it well but I just wasn't sure.  Then you wanted THIS one thing so badly. You had to earn it.  All alone.  And you did. I never tutor him in math. THE ONE THING I CAN... he doesn't need.  So - we go back to 4th-grade science, social studies, etc. together! LOL THIS YOU DID ALL ON YOUR OWN!!! 5th place in your whole school!! ON TO MATH OLYMPICS!!!! rabbit face! PURE PRIDE!! and then killing it across the board! Proud Mom alert!  Proud Mom alert!!! We're pooped!  Gotta rest that big brain for tomorrow!!!

She turned one and the day was fun!!

Can't believe she's ONE already - Happy Birthday Baylor!!! she's injured so we couldn't take her to the dog park or running or anything she would have loved... praying her leg heals - can't really afford a $4k surgery!!! Then, Braeden came over and we headed to the company picnic! Awkward "family" photo... hahahahaha they spent most of their time in the bounce house... but there was some ping pong action as well... And when T got in line for the pinata... I warned them... that no other would most likely go after him... three swings and he sheered the head right off that thing! Lots of loot for all. The kiddos were pretty jazzed! Then, before the day was over we went out to watch my bosses all get hit in the face with pie.  $5 each throw and it all went to charity. I donated $20 (but I knew I couldn't hit them) and promptly gave those tickets away. Krueger... hilarious! Such...

And just like that... he's TEN!

Oh man, these posts are such a celebration but also SO hard. I mean, a year.  A YEAR has gone by. HOW IS THAT EVEN POSSIBLE?  And let's not dive too deep into that because that means I'm almost 48!!! But I love this kid.... BIG TIME He had 3 basketball games this weekend.  He killed it.  I love watching him play... he's just a natural.  But he's also kind.  If someone gets hurt, he's concerned.  He usually takes a knee but sometimes he's so worried the team has to jar him to do it.  That's something I love about him. He LOVES his friends. I mean LOVES and it is just the sweetest.  He's a stinker sometimes (who isn't) but he's a great friend that will stand by you, stand up for you and he will love you.  That's something I love about him. He loves animals.  He sees them, talks about them, recites the 9,000 facts he knows about them.  He loves Baylor, still talks about Aslan and Simba.  Another thing I lo...
